Independent verification

We post the inspection reports.

When a third party looks at our work, the result goes on the record. This is the paperwork from an independent inspection of a live NTX deck-waterproofing job — published in full. We redacted the street address. We didn’t redact a single number.

Who looked, and why

We didn’t grade our own homework.

In August 2026, an independent, AMPP-certified coatings inspector — Dudley J. Primeaux II, PCS, CCI of Primeaux Associates, the chemist widely credited with pioneering spray-applied polyurea — examined an in-process concrete deck waterproofing application by NTX on a Fort Worth remodel.

The inspection wasn’t commissioned by us alone. The general contractor and the material supplier asked for a third party to look too. The job: verify the applied membrane met industry standards before anyone trusted it with a finished home.

The report came back the way good work should: sound. Then we published it — because that’s the whole point of posting this. The work is the pitch.

What the instruments said

70–130+

mils DFT

Dry film thickness measured by ultrasonic gauge (ASTM D 6132 / SSPC-PA 9). Our own floor is 60 mils; the spec called for 40. The report notes the readings sit "well within Level 4."

46 ± 5

Shore D

Durometer hardness (ASTM D 2240) across all three deck areas — on ratio, properly processed through the plural-component equipment.

3

deck areas

Roughly 384, 729, and 186 square feet of installed membrane, inspected in place on an in-process Fort Worth remodel.

1

independent set of eyes

An AMPP Protective Coatings Specialist (#309-568-0456) and Concrete Coating Inspector (#25054). No affiliation with NTX.

Test methods: ASTM D 2240 (durometer hardness) and ASTM D 6132 with SSPC-PA 9 (non-destructive dry film thickness by ultrasonic gauge). Adhesion was not destructively tested — the inspector saw no reason to damage a sound membrane.

“…the applied waterproofing system… was performed as to industry standards and is a sound installation.”

“The system applied is highly suitable for this deck waterproofing application.”

Primeaux is the chemist widely credited with creating the spray-polyurea technology this report verifies. He inspected a live NTX installation — on the record.

That’s how transparent we are: we post the inspection reports.

Most contractors sell protection they wouldn’t show an inspector. We invite the inspector, and then we show you what they wrote. Same standard on your project.
